The RNLI are one of the biggest charities in the UK and are known for their invaluable lifeboat service, in recent years they have moved into providing a Lifeguard service at many beaches across the UK. With Teignmouth beach now being covered by the RNLI lifeguard service.

Teignmouth Beach Surf Life Saving Club is independent and is not funded or run by the RNLI, we are our own charity and club, but are affiliated to the Surf Life Saving Great Britain. We do however have a working relationship with the RNLI. Many of the lifeguards employed by the RNLI are members of TBSLSC and they provide us with extra training and information.
