PostHeaderIcon AGM 2009 News

We have just had our 2009 AGM, setting up for 2010.

here are the main bits of news from the meeting.

Sunday training will now take place on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month, through until around Easter, due to commitments for trainers.

The first training session of 2010 will be on 24th Jan.

The club house is currently undergoing building work so access is now restricted due to a large fence with a padlock.  Roger & Iain have keys at the East Cliff cafe should access be needed.

A new logo for the club is also being developed & will be discussed in the future..

The committee has changed slightly, with Kim Webber-Marks as the new Captain, with Matt Childs & Roger Palmer as Vice-Captains.

PostHeaderIcon Classic 1989 Photos

Today we were sent a collection of photos from 1989 from a former members the Granger family.

These photos include many from 1986 to 1989 including shots of the club house and many photos of Jason Pope.  Jason was kidnapped and assumed killed in Africa while working 10 years ago.  His family which runs the Jason's Garden memorial just up from the club house recently gave us £1000 which has gone on a new ski.

These photos can be found here

PostHeaderIcon Website issues

You may have noticed the website has changed a little....this was due to me trying to do a upgrade, but it screwed up and I had to redo the website from scratch (more backups in the future!), luckly I've been able to get most of it back, but bare with me while I put it all back to normal.

PostHeaderIcon TBSLSC compete

TBSLSC sent a team to a national ranking event.
Kim competed in flags and board race and came 3rd in the 90m beach sprint.
James competed in the flags and beach sprint in which he came 4th.
Matt competed in the run-swim-run, board, ski, and ironman coming 2nd in the ski.
Tim competed well considering he was one of the youngest in most of his races, he did especially well in the run-swim-run.
A good effort from all, hopefully showing that TBSLSC can hold their own in competitions with larger clubs in the future.
